Senior Instructor, James Livingston, Nidan

James Livingston with his wife Joanne is currently attending Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA. Having been active in various martial arts since the age of eight, James has studied aikido for the past 13 years. Beginning at the University of Florida in Gainesville he trained under various senseis and received his shodan under Sensei Takashi Ishikawa in Miami. He then moved to London, England where he trained with sensei Ken Gannon for two years while studying acupuncture. Upon returning to Merritt Island, James continued his training with sensei Alan Drysdale at Enmei dojo in Titusville and earned his Nidan under his supervision. James opened a sister dojo in Merritt Island called Konjou Dojo and kept it running until moving to Alexandria in July 2008.
